The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command C5ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) Center, located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, and Fort Belvoir, Virginia, is the Army’s primary integrator of C5ISR technologies and systems.
The DEVCOM C5ISR Center is one of eight science and technology domains within the command that supports the nation’s Warfighters by identifying, developing, maturing, and rapidly integrating innovative technologies to drive continuous transformation across the Army.
The Center’s mission is to develop and integrate C5ISR technologies that enable information dominance and decisive lethality for the networked Soldier. DEVCOM C5ISR Center is an innovative leader in the Department of Defense’s C5ISR systems engineering and technology development.
The DEVCOM C5ISR Center conducts vigorous research and development programs — in the areas of command, power and integration; intelligence and information warfare; night vision and electronic sensors; and space and terrestrial communications — linking various technology producers including industry, academia and the foreign sector as well as other government agencies.
State-of-the-art equipment such as night vision goggles, satellite technology providing friendly and enemy target recognition, and enhanced audio and visual wireless, were all developed at the DEVCOM C5ISR Center to enhance Soldier capabilities in the field.
